Tips

Mazatlan is probably the most affordable of the large Mexican resort destinations. It has a less touristy feel than Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco or Cancun and most visitors are from western parts of Canada and the United States.
>
The main gay club, Pepe Toro, is only open Thursday to Sunday, so nightlife is limited.
>
Consider Mazatlan if you want to go somewhere other than Puerto Vallarta and find Cancun and the Mayan Riviera too pricey.

The gay beach is at 12th and Ocean in South Beach. The beaches of Ft Lauderdale are also close by.

Lots of gay clubs and bars for both serious partying and more casual bar hopping.

Those looking for an urban, party sun holiday.
Tips

Gay life is centred almost exclusively in South Beach, a part of Miami Beach. If you stay in South Beach you don't need to have a car as you can easily get around on foot or by short taxi rides.
>
Be prepared for some serious displays of muscle, fashion and, frankly, attitude. But if you can take that in stride there's lots of fun to be had.
>
If you're looking for a more casual experience, hop up to Ft Lauderdale, just an hour away.
